The role and contribution of volunteering
(unpaid staff) is essential in encouraging a democratic, caring, informed, dynamic and
co-operative society, to provide the services facilities and programs residents need. In
this regard, all staff need to work in an environment of their choice, which allows them
to give of their best while enjoying the experience.

Volunteers can be involved in one or more areas
of work and opportunity for change may be available. It is recognised that changes in
circumstances can mean that a volunteers time commitments may need to change. We hope that
volunteers will not hesitate in approaching their co-ordinator if any difficulties arise
as solutions could be a change in hours, area or involvement or a complete break from
volunteering.
